NEW YORK – Meridian Furniture, a leading provider of upholstered and case furniture for retail and design professionals, has announced the expansion of its outdoor portfolio at the spring High Point Market. The updated selection introduces innovative seating solutions and avant-garde concrete tables designed to bridge indoor and outdoor living spaces.
Michael Rosilio, President of Meridian Furniture, emphasized the strategic alignment of the new releases with current design trends. “The resurgence of brutalist architecture has amplified demand for durable, multifunctional concrete furnishings,” he stated. “Beyond its sustainability advantages, concrete enables seamless visual transitions between interior and exterior environments—a priority in modern residential design.”
The collection features twelve geometric concrete tables, such as the Art Deco-inspired Tivoli and Sassari coffee tables. Engineered to surpass natural stone in weather resistance, these designs incorporate specialized finishes: Tivoli in a refined beige travertine and Sassari in synthetic brown marble. The Cosenza dining table, offered in 78-inch and 96-inch configurations with a travertine finish, is priced between 1,199 and 1,999.
Complementing the tables are Mediterranean-inspired seating ensembles. The San Pietro series pairs teak-textured aluminum frames with woven polypropylene rope and water-resistant cushions, available as modular sofa, loveseat, and chair units priced from 899 to 1,999. Additional introductions include the Laguna modular sectional, reflecting Meridian’s modern design ethos, and the Portofino collection. The latter showcases matte black aluminum frames with scalloped detailing, accented by cream or off-white waterproof bolster cushions and a matching coffee table.
Rosilio underscored Meridian’s commitment to distinctive design: “Portofino exemplifies our departure from commonplace rattan or wicker aesthetics prevalent in mass-market offerings. Our focus on elevated, unconventional craftsmanship ensures exclusivity in the outdoor category.”
