MANLIUS, N.Y. — In commemoration of its 125th anniversary, Stickley has announced the national availability of its Hudson Valley Collection, now accessible through authorized Stickley retailers across the United States.
Debuted in October, the Hudson Valley Collection comprises 25 meticulously crafted case goods and upholstered furnishings that reinterpret traditional Americana through a modern perspective. Constructed from American black walnut—a departure from the brand’s signature cherry wood—the collection integrates subtle accents of natural maple to achieve a harmonious contrast in tones. The offering spans multiple categories, including 14 living room pieces, four dining room selections, and seven bedroom furnishings.
Distinctive design elements pay homage to historical American craftsmanship. Select items feature marquetry inspired by classic quilt motifs, artfully rendered in walnut, maple, and black-dyed veneers to unify the collection’s color palette. Additional touches such as hand-turned spindles, contoured cap rails, and functional storage drawers reflect influences from Americana and Shaker design traditions, according to the brand.
Under the direction of veteran Stickley designer Marissa Brown, the creative team drew inspiration from both historical artisans and modern craftspersons. “Contemplating the dedication of past artisans, for whom creation was a profound life force, was deeply impactful,” remarked Brown. “Equally compelling is the resurgence of contemporary makers revitalizing rural communities by merging traditional techniques with urban sophistication. This fusion of heritage and innovation guided our approach to reimagining Americana.”
Notable case goods include a 54-inch round dining table expandable to 86 inches with two leaves, alongside spindle beds available in queen, king, and California king sizes. The upholstery line emphasizes versatility, featuring adaptable designs such as an 86-inch sofa, a 41-inch high-wing chair, and a low-profile Pearl swivel chair with a curved silhouette. Each piece is designed to seamlessly integrate into diverse interior styles, reinforcing Stickley’s commitment to timeless craftsmanship and functional elegance.
