The Furniture Makers’ Company, a distinguished City of London livery organization and charitable entity dedicated to the furnishing sector, has formally elected its executive officers for the 2025–2026 term.
Debbie Johnson has been appointed as Master, leveraging her extensive professional background spanning nursing, retail, publishing, and editorial leadership roles, notably with Cabinet Maker magazine. In her inaugural statement, Johnson remarked: “I am deeply honored to be entrusted with the role of Master. My unwavering dedication to both this livery and the broader industry drives my pledge to serve with diligence. I extend my gratitude for this confidence and eagerly anticipate championing The Furniture Makers’ Company while fostering unity within our community.”
Jessica Alexander, renowned for her 35-year tenure in the UK bed manufacturing sector and her longstanding engagement with the National Bed Federation, has been named Senior Warden. Concurrently, Alistair Gough, an entrepreneur with over four decades of experience in the paper and furniture industries, assumes the position of Junior Warden.
