- Detach the backrest or armrests (if detachable): Some sofas come with removable backrests and armrests. Just locate the bolts or screws hidden beneath the fabric (usually under the base fasteners), and you can separate the backrest and armrests from the main frame.
If the sofa still cannot fit through the doorway after trying the above steps, you can first remove the door from its hinges to create more space. If the furniture is completely stuck, consider hiring professionals to lift it via hoisting, move it through a window, or even disassemble the frame if conditions permit.
