Emsworth-based direct-to-consumer sofabed company Cocoon has revealed that television presenter, acclaimed author, and quiz show host Richard Osman will serve as the new voice representing its brand. The announcement coincides with Cocoon’s sixth anniversary this May.
A multimedia campaign is set to launch in London starting next week, with advertisements airing on Classic FM and LBC radio. Additional marketing initiatives across multiple platforms will commence in April.
Osman, renowned as the co-host of Pointless and presenter of House of Games, as well as for his bestselling literary works, was selected for his distinctive appeal. Craig Rutter, Chief Executive Officer of Cocoon, emphasized that the collaboration aimed to identify a voice embodying warmth, expertise, and approachable charm. Rutter noted that Osman’s persona aligns seamlessly with the brand’s vision, adding that the upcoming advertisements—praised for their playful tone—reflect Cocoon’s commitment to blending functionality with humor.
Laura Barioli, Cocoon’s design and sleep specialist, underscored the company’s focus on innovative, space-efficient solutions. She highlighted the sofa beds’ dual-purpose design, including a compact chair bed under 100cm in width that converts to a single bed, and a 2m-wide sofa expanding into a king-size sleeping surface. These features, Barioli explained, ensure adaptability for diverse living spaces while prioritizing comfort.
The campaign underscores Cocoon’s dedication to merging practical design with engaging storytelling, positioning its products as both versatile furnishings and essential lifestyle solutions.
