MILAN – At the recent Milano Design Week, Italian designer Paola Lenti introduced a fresh line of outdoor rugs that blend innovative techniques with her signature use of color and texture. Known globally for vibrant, design-forward outdoor furniture, the brand continues to explore new creative territory with these one-of-a-kind textile pieces.

The new rugs are crafted using a freehand, manual stitching technique that gives each piece a lived-in, familiar character. With deliberately uneven edges, bold seams, and visible basting, the rugs take on a handcrafted, playful appearance that changes from one design to the next.
Among the standout models are Ayla, Kilis, Wadi, and Asira—all in soft, natural shades and straw-like textures. Their geometric patterns, featuring multicolored lines, knotted motifs, and hand-applied lozenges, draw inspiration from Mediterranean symbolism.
Paola Lenti emphasizes that the rugs are made with environmental care in mind. Free of harsh chemical treatments, they are built to last and easy to maintain. According to the company, this new collection reflects a modern design sensibility while embracing the brand’s continuous spirit of experimentation.
