KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Over 20,000 attendees from 140 countries are expected at the upcoming annual Malaysian International Furniture Fair, according to organizers.
Scheduled for March 1-4, MIFF will feature nearly 700 companies from 12 countries, including Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, India, Mainland China, Thailand, Hong Kong, and the U.S., showcasing their products across over a million square feet of exhibition space.
“It is vital that we remain open and welcoming to professionals from across the globe,” said Dato’ Dr Tan Chin Huat, MIFF founder and chairman. “By doing so, we can explore new opportunities, stay relevant, and add value to businesses while reinforcing MIFF’s pivotal role in the global supply chain.”
Last year, MIFF celebrated its 30th edition with a record-breaking 715 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, alongside a 6% rise in national attendees, reaching 5,419 from 120 countries and regions. Organizers highlight the event’s standout feature as its “extensive” range of furniture, including solid wood and office furniture.
This year, attendees will benefit from an upgraded MIFF Furniverse app to navigate the venues. The event will also feature a furniture design competition-themed “Fashion Inspired Furniture,” aiming to recognize the best young designer. Additional highlights include KL iDesign Week, which is focused on elevating Asian design, and the return of the MFID Awards, which celebrate excellence in architecture and interior design.
