CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — IKEA U.S. will officially welcome shoppers to its new Chantilly, Virginia, store on June 18. Located in Northern Virginia, IKEA Chantilly becomes the seventh IKEA location in the greater Washington region, joining stores in Woodbridge and College Park, as well as Plan & Order points in Georgetown, Fairfax, Gaithersburg, and Annapolis.
Rob Olson, Interim CEO of IKEA U.S., expressed pride in celebrating 40 years in the Washington region, stating that opening IKEA Chantilly is another meaningful step in making the brand more accessible to more people. He noted that the store makes it easier for shoppers to access affordable home furnishings, whether they are planning a dream space or stopping in for same-day takeaway items.
Located at 4320 Chantilly Shopping Center Drive, the 107,000-square-foot store will showcase more than 7,700 products, with approximately 4,400 items available for immediate takeaway, including home furnishing accessories and over 500 small furniture items. The store will offer a central planning area for personalized design consultations, along with a Swedish food experience featuring meatballs, plant balls, hot dogs, and veggie dogs. It will also include an As-Is department for gently used and discontinued items, as well as electric vehicle chargers in the shared parking lot.
Scott Reid, Market Manager for IKEA Woodbridge, explained that IKEA Chantilly was designed with everyday needs in mind, making it easier for customers to shop, plan, and bring items home the same day. He added that as IKEA continues to grow across the United States, the company is excited to welcome customers into a store that reflects how they live today and to become an active, supportive part of the local community.
