SARDIS, Miss. — U.S. furniture brand Chromcraft is broadening its product scope with the introduction of two new lines designed to meet evolving lifestyle needs: the Chat Chair and the Flexion Home collection. These launches signal the company’s move beyond its traditional dining room focus into more versatile living spaces.
The new direction reflects shifting demographics in the United States, particularly an aging population that increasingly prioritizes comfort, adaptability and ease of use in home furnishings. Chromcraft aims to address these preferences by blending its legacy of ergonomic design with modern functionality.
According to Scott Kruger, executive vice president of sales and marketing, the Chat Chair builds on the company’s long-standing expertise in comfortable seating. The concept takes the familiar support of Chromcraft dining chairs and reimagines it for everyday living areas where people gather, unwind or read.
Designed with both aesthetics and performance in mind, the Chat Chair incorporates an upgraded CraftTilt mechanism that allows full swivel and tilt motion. This is complemented by a micro-coil spring system that enhances support while ensuring durability over time.

Alongside this launch, Chromcraft is introducing the Flexion Home collection, a modular upholstery system engineered for both indoor and outdoor use. The collection features patented components that allow users to easily reconfigure furniture layouts to suit different spaces and needs.
Flexion Home also integrates a digital platform that connects retailers to online sales, offering tools for lead tracking and enabling participation in a hybrid retail environment that blends in-store and direct-to-consumer channels.
Kruger noted that today’s consumers expect furniture to adapt to their routines rather than requiring adjustments from the user. With Flexion Home, the company is not only delivering flexible design solutions but also reshaping how retail partners engage with customers across multiple sales channels.
With a history dating back to 1937 and more than 10 million chairs sold, Chromcraft continues to build on its reputation for comfort-driven engineering. The company views these new introductions not as a departure, but as a natural extension of its core strengths into additional areas of the home.
