HIGH POINT — Artisant Lane, the parent company behind American Leather, Lee Industries, Brookline Furniture, and BenchMade Modern, is expanding its portfolio with the addition of a new upholstery brand.
The company announced today that True Modern will make its debut at the upcoming High Point Market, which runs from April 26-30. The brand will be showcased next to the American Leather showroom on the fifth floor of Showplace. According to officials, True Modern aims to “redefine the retail experience with its consumer-friendly, customizable upholstery offerings.”
“As we continue to strengthen our relationships with customers, we recognized a clear market demand for more accessible, customizable upholstery,” said Brian Golden, CEO of Artisant Lane. “True Modern is our solution: designed to provide high-quality, distinctive seating options for both our retailers and their customers.”
Representatives from the company highlighted that True Modern is designed to work seamlessly with both branded program collections and private-label opportunities. David Workman, executive vice president of sales and merchandising, shared the brand’s vision.
“True Modern isn’t just another furniture line; it’s a commitment to mid-range, impactful design that easily fits into any living space,” Workman said. “Designed to deliver sophistication without the pretension, True Modern is aimed at a customer demographic that Artisant Lane has not yet reached. The pieces are straightforward to market, easy to retail, and offer outstanding value to the end consumer.”
All True Modern products are made in the United States, with an emphasis on both product quality and efficient delivery. This agility is made possible by Artisant Lane’s vertically integrated manufacturing operations, which help ensure shorter lead times without compromising craftsmanship.
