NEW YORK — Design brand Schumacher will open a trade-only Schumacher Studio in Richmond, Virginia, in August. The 1,800-square-foot space is designed to serve as a full-service resource for designers and a destination for all things decorating.
Emily Romero, President of Schumacher North America, stated that Richmond holds a meaningful place in the company’s expansion story. She noted that the city has a deep architectural heritage, a refined aesthetic sensibility, and one of the most distinctive design identities in the South. Romero explained that the studio is intended to function as an extension of designers’ personal resource libraries, where they can work alongside the Schumacher team, seek inspiration, and build connections within the design community.
Located at 4917 Grove Avenue, the studio will provide designers access to nearly 10,000 wallcovering, fabric, and trim samples from Schumacher and its sister brands, including Patterson Flynn, Backdrop, and Tillett Textiles.
The space will also feature a dedicated workspace for hosting client meetings and developing design schemes in collaboration with the Schumacher sales team, as well as host regular design-industry events.
