| Nail polish remover or acetone | Dissolves the plastic coating instantly |
| Baking soda paste (scrubbed hard) | Too abrasive; leaves scratches even if it removes stains |
Quick rule of thumb: If the product says "for genuine leather only," don't use it on PU. If the tool feels rough or scratchy, don't use it.
Safe alternatives: Mild dish soap + water, microfiber cloth, and gentle blotting.
