Anyone know the easiest way to put filing cabinet drawers back in? Mine got stuck and I’m not sure how to fix it.
To put the filing cabinet drawers back in, follow these steps:
Check the tracks: Ensure that the tracks are not blocked or bent. Gently move the drawer to make sure the tracks are smooth.
Align the drawer with the tracks: For side-mounted tracks, align the metal slides on both sides of the drawer with the tracks inside the cabinet. For roller-mounted tracks, slightly lift the drawer to align the rollers with the tracks.
Push the drawer in: Slowly slide the drawer into the cabinet until it fits snugly. If it gets stuck, slightly adjust the angle to ensure it slides in smoothly.
Check for balance: Once the drawer is in place, pull it out and push it in a few times to make sure it opens and closes smoothly without tilting.
If the drawer is difficult to put back, check for obstructions or see if the tracks need cleaning or lubrication.
