BOSTON — Wayfair is set to open its second large-format retail location in Atlanta, a 150,000-square-foot store slated to launch in 2026. The space will showcase a broad selection of furniture, home décor, housewares, appliances, and home improvement essentials.
Liza Lefkowski, Wayfair’s Vice President of Merchandising and Stores, emphasized the company’s strategy: “At the heart of our retail strategy is our commitment to providing customers with a seamless shopping experience, whether online or in-store,”
“We are thrilled to bring this one-of-a-kind shopping experience to the Atlanta metro area. We will offer customers an extensive selection for all styles and budgets, with our vast catalog brought to life in an inspiring and easy-to-navigate shopping experience that makes discovering the perfect pieces effortless,” she said.
The store aims to bring Wayfair’s extensive inventory to life, offering an intuitive layout designed to help customers effortlessly explore curated collections.
Wayfair’s second large-format store will open at 1801 Howell Mill Rd. NW in The District at Howell Mill, a prominent shopping center near Atlanta’s Buckhead, Midtown, and downtown areas. This follows the success of its flagship store in Wilmette, Ill., which launched in May 2024 and drove Illinois sales growth over 15% faster than the U.S. average through year-end 2024.
Liza Lefkowski, Wayfair’s VP of Merchandising and Stores, noted the Wilmette store’s “exceeded expectations” and highlighted plans to replicate its energy in Atlanta. The Atlanta location will leverage proximity to Wayfair’s McDonough, Ga., fulfillment center for rapid delivery of online orders.
