HIGH POINT — Universal Furniture is introducing three new collections at this week’s High Point Market: Cassia, Emerie and Weekend Getaway, at its showroom at 101 S. Hamilton. The launches span a variety of styles and furniture categories, with Cassia ranking among the company’s largest introductions of the season.
Cassia is a whole-home collection inspired by interiors built around furnishings and decorative objects collected over time. Covering bedroom, kitchen, dining, living and work spaces, it combines clean silhouettes and geometric forms with bold colors and contrasting materials.
“Cassia is one of our most expansive introductions, but it still feels personal,” said Sean O’Connor, president of Universal Furniture. He noted that the collection emphasizes creativity and confidence while giving designers and homeowners flexibility to create distinctive interiors.
Most Cassia pieces are made from white oak with a medium-toned, wire-brushed finish. Dusty Bronze accents and patterned stone surfaces add contrast, while neutral fabric and leather upholstery bring balance to the collection. Featured pieces include an upholstered bed, storage cocktail table, nesting tables, a Dusty Bronze dining table and the Flax nightstand.
The Emerie collection takes inspiration from well-traveled collectors with an artistic sensibility. Its dark, warm oak finish and subtle wire-brushed grain are paired with dark brown Emperador stone, Dusty Bronze metal, shagreen textures and tactile upholstery. The collection covers bedroom, dining, work and living spaces.
“Emerie is designed for interiors that feel curated rather than decorated,” O’Connor said. He added that the combination of warm wood, expressive stone, softly patinated metal and textured materials gives the pieces depth, while their clean silhouettes support everyday use.
Key pieces include a panel bed, six-drawer chest, Dusty Bronze mirror, round dining table, Opal ottoman and game table.
Universal Furniture developed Weekend Getaway, a 20-piece capsule collection, in partnership with Coastal Living. The collection is designed to complement the brands’ existing coastal furniture offerings, adding new colors and details while maintaining a cohesive look with earlier pieces.
Weekend Getaway combines relaxed shapes and woven details with light oak, softly painted finishes, white quartz, Brushed Champagne metal and performance upholstery. Selected pieces are available in Marina deep blue, Cabana off-white, Cove soft blue and Cypress sage green.
Highlights include the Campaign chest, dining chair, Sugar Sand nightstand, counter stool and Bluff dresser.
