Meet&CoNEW YORK — Ultraleather, the residential brand of Ultrafabrics, has unveiled Ellora, a new upholstery collection. Inspired by the concept of “clouds,” Ellora offers a blend of softness, sustainability, and a soothing aesthetic designed to fit effortlessly into any room.
Brisa Ellora, a member of the Ultraleather breathable fabric family, joins the ranks of Brisa, Brisa Distressed, Brisa Frontier, and Brisa Forecast. The fabric is distinguished by its delicate texture, matte finish, and built-in ventilation system, which promotes airflow for added comfort. This results in a fabric that combines sophisticated style with functional performance.
The collection debuts with 25 color options inspired by nature, ranging from soft neutrals and earthy tones to rich jewel hues. These colors are designed to harmonize with the broader Brisa collection.
“Brisa Ellora was designed to enhance everyday living by providing a fabric that combines breathability, softness, and a refined palette,” said Jennifer Hendren, Vice President of Product Development at Ultraleather. “We aimed to create a sustainable solution that offers both aesthetic appeal and long-term durability.”
The sustainable construction of Brisa Ellora includes a backcloth made from recycled polyester and FSC/PEFC certified rayon, with each yard containing the equivalent of eight recycled plastic bottles. The fabric is highly durable, with 300,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek) and 160,000 rubs (Martindale), and it features a soft-touch feel for lasting performance. Brisa Ellora is bleach-cleanable with a 1:5 bleach-to-water solution and is free of formaldehyde and Red List chemicals. It is also SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certified and REACH compliant.
Designed for durability, Brisa Ellora is resistant to common household cleaners and disinfectants. It also provides strong acoustic properties when paired with sound-absorbing materials and is versatile enough for various upholstery applications.
