BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Red Mountain Retail, one of the nation’s Top 100 furniture retailers and operator of Ashley stores throughout Alabama, is celebrating the completion of major renovations at two of its key locations with a series of grand reopening events.
The Birmingham-based company has modernized its Ashley showrooms in Hoover and Fultondale through comprehensive renovations designed to enhance the customer experience and showcase the latest retail concepts.
The celebration begins with the reopening of the Fultondale store, located on Lowery Parkway. Company leaders, community representatives, and Ashley partners will gather for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. For the Fultondale team, the event carries special significance, as the location continues its long-standing presence in the community after overcoming the devastating tornado outbreak that destroyed the original showroom in 2011.

Red Mountain Retail President and Owner Woody Marks said the investment reflects the company’s long-term commitment to local customers and its confidence in the future of the Fultondale market. He noted that the newly renovated showroom is intended to provide shoppers with a modern, elevated retail environment.
The following day, attention shifts to the Hoover location on Galleria Boulevard, where another ribbon-cutting ceremony will commemorate the completion of a similar renovation project. The reopening coincides with the store’s 20th anniversary, highlighting two decades of service in the Riverchase area.
Marks emphasized that the company remains committed to investing in the communities it serves, adding that the upgraded Hoover showroom offers a refreshed shopping destination designed to meet evolving customer expectations.
To further celebrate the renovations, both stores will host public grand opening festivities on Saturday, featuring family-friendly activities, complimentary food, and special giveaways for visitors.
Red Mountain Retail was ranked No. 93 on Furniture Today’s 2026 Top 100 list. The retailer generated approximately $46 million in sales during 2025 and currently operates 10 furniture store locations across Alabama.
