DORAL, Fla. — Rana Furniture has significantly increased its South Florida presence by securing a lease for a 26,000-square-foot retail space within Pembroke Lakes Mall in Doral, Florida.
The new store, situated at 11251 Pines Blvd. in a location formerly occupied by Joann Fabric & Craft, marks a strategic upgrade. It replaces the retailer’s previous 11,500-square-foot outlet at 7979 Pines Blvd. and moves the operation into a high-activity retail zone within the mall.
“This lease at Pembroke Lakes Mall places us directly within one of South Florida’s busiest retail destinations,” stated Douglas Esser, President of Rana Furniture. “Benefiting from approximately 75,000 daily vehicle passes and adjacency to major anchors like Target, this site enables us to deliver a modern, comprehensive shopping experience.”
This expansion represents a substantial scaling up for Rana in the Pembroke Pines market, tripling their previous operational area. To facilitate the move, the original Pembroke Pines store closed its doors immediately.
The significantly larger location introduces new product categories to Rana’s offerings, including home appliances, flooring solutions, and decorative wall panels. The expansion has also generated over 20 new jobs, strengthening the workforce to meet increased operational and customer service requirements.
In a related development, Rana Furniture is also nearing completion on the conversion of a former 32,000-square-foot Big Lots store on SW 40th Street in Miami. This location, slated to open in late Q3 of this year, replaces the company’s now-closed Cutler Bay store. It will similarly feature an expanded appliance section presented with a focus on design aesthetics.
