NEW YORK – Oriental Weavers is introducing three new rug collections that mark a design shift toward texture-rich weaves and warmer color palettes. The launch will take place during the upcoming New York Home Fashions Market.
“We’re emphasizing texture with a relaxed, modern aesthetic, while color directions are moving noticeably warmer,” said Mandi Williams, vice president of product development and design, in an interview with Home Textiles Today, a sister publication of Furniture Today.
The Gemma collection, produced in Egypt from 100% polypropylene, combines durability with a soft, high-pile surface. Its palette spans sunbaked reds, mossy greens, layered blues, and warm neutrals. Patterns range from global-inspired classics to organic abstracts and dimensional geometrics.
Also woven in Egypt, the Hunter collection uses 100% polyester in a dense, low-profile construction for an elegant finish. Space-dyed yarns transition from charcoal to ivory, while multi-level shrink polyester fibers create added texture. Designs include crisp geometrics and nature motifs, making the line a versatile fit for contemporary spaces.
The Zander collection, machine-woven in Egypt from 100% polyester, blends calming marine blues with earthy neutrals. Its high-low surface adds sculptural depth, while modern geometric layouts bring a sophisticated edge, bridging transitional and contemporary styles.
Together, the new collections highlight Oriental Weavers’ focus on plush neutrals, refined geometrics, and adaptable designs suited to everything from busy living rooms to serene retreats.
The company’s New York showroom is located at 260 Fifth Ave., spanning the 11th and 12th floors.
