NEW YORK — Helena Clunies-Ross Design has launched its debut furniture collection, Calma, created exclusively for Room. The collection introduces a selection of elegant pieces, including a sofa, daybed, dining table, dining chair, console table, and coffee table.
Named after the Latin word cauma, which refers to the stillness of air during midday heat, the collection blends soft, flowing lines, smooth textures, and a mix of fabrics with bronze and brass detailing.

Key features include:
The Calma dining table is made from blackened walnut with aged brass accents, combining minimalist design with subtle Art Deco influences. The table has a gently tapered oval top that rests on a sturdy, rounded pedestal base, adorned with refined brass inlays.
The Calma sofa is characterized by timber screens that wrap around the corners and stretch across the back. It features soft linen upholstery and well-proportioned arms, providing both comfort and visual elegance.
The Calma console table takes inspiration from Art Deco’s flowing curves, featuring sleek metal accents, curved legs, and burnished bronze panels for an elegant finish.
Available in three wood finishes, the collection is now available for purchase.
