Inspired by the countryside aesthetics of Sharland England, a brand named after Roe’s great-grandmother, the collection evokes the charm of country gardens and heirlooms. Pieces like the woven rattan Folklore Table Lamp and the pleated Nursery Glider with matching ottoman draw on nostalgic childhood memories.
Additional items in the collection include the Crosby Antique Convertible Crib paired with a six-drawer dresser, both crafted from FSC-certified poplar and finished with a warm amber stain, as well as the Crosby Barley Brown Wood Kids Desk. The collection also features the Bramble Crib Quilt and Family Tree Pillow, showcasing a charming cross-stitch design, along with a wool and cotton kilim rug inspired by folk art.
Sebastian Brauer, Senior Vice President of Product Design for Crate & Barrel and Crate&Kids, shared, “This collection blends the timeless charm of the English countryside with Louise’s vision and Crate & Kids’ modern aesthetic. We aimed to create a storybook atmosphere with a sense of nostalgia.”
Louise Roe expressed, “A childhood bedroom should evoke a sense of playfulness and coziness. It was a joy to incorporate elements from Sharland England — like terra cotta, rattan, florals, and linen — into this children’s collection.”
