MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Quality Furniture Co., a longstanding family-operated business in Murfreesboro, will cease operations after 56 years, initiating its final liquidation process.
Proprietors Butch and Carolyne Jones, a husband-and-wife team, have engaged Planned Furniture Promotions (PFP), a specialist in liquidation sales, to manage the closure. The couple, who have led the enterprise for over two decades, intend to retire following the conclusion of the sale.
Tom Liddell, Senior Vice President of PFP, expressed appreciation for the collaboration, stating, “It has been a privilege to assist Butch and Carolyne in commemorating their family’s enduring contributions. We are honored to facilitate a successful closing event that honors their legacy.”
Established in 1969 by founder John Morris, Quality Furniture Company has served as a cornerstone of the Murfreesboro community, renowned for its premium furnishings and bespoke customer care. The business remained under family stewardship throughout its history, with Morris’s stepson, Butch Jones, and his wife Carolyne assuming leadership in 2005. Their tenure upheld the institution’s commitment to exceptional service and principled operations.
The liquidation event commenced on May 8, 2024, with the 20,000-square-foot retail premises now available for lease.
