Meet&CoOKEMOS, Mich. — Family-owned J&S Furniture has officially opened its 17th Ashley showroom and outlet in Michigan. The new store, which spans 80,000 square feet, opened its doors on November 8 at 1982 W Grand River Ave. in Okemos. This marks another significant expansion for J&S Furniture, which already operates two additional Ashley locations in the region.
The Okemos store will provide employment to around 53 people. Anan Abubaker, COO of J&S Furniture, expressed excitement about the new location, noting the company’s gratitude for the warm reception in Okemos. He highlighted their commitment to growing alongside the community and serving local families for years to come.
The Okemos showroom features Ashley’s cutting-edge 7.0 store concept, allowing customers to experience fully integrated lifestyle vignettes with carefully curated lighting, rugs, and wall art. The store offers a wide range of products, including bedroom, dining, upholstery, leather furniture, occasional tables, home office furniture, youth bedroom sets, recliners, mattresses, and home accessories.
Since its founding, J&S Furniture has continued to expand, with additional stores in Flint and Jackson. Today, the company employs over 255 team members and maintains a strong local presence through its community support initiatives.
