The program brings Ikano’s vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities and production network to hotel operators in North America. The company already serves the hospitality market in Europe, supplying mattresses to Marriott and Moxy properties.
With Ikona Hospitality, hotel operators can order mattresses and sleep products tailored to their specific requirements. Options include customized construction, comfort, dimensions, profile, fabrics and performance features. Hotels can also choose materials with cooling, antimicrobial or water-resistant properties, as well as mattress covers featuring their own branding.
According to Galasso, chief sales and marketing officer for Ikano Industry, the program can be used to match an existing hotel specification, develop a customized mattress or incorporate a hotel’s branding into the product.
A removable topper system is another feature of the Ikona Hospitality program. The zip-on, zip-off design allows the same mattress platform to be configured as either a 12-inch or 14-inch mattress. Hotel operators can replace the topper without replacing the entire mattress or use different toppers to provide firmer or softer sleep surfaces.
“Comfort is personal, and what feels perfect to one guest may not feel the same to another,” Galasso said. “Our topper system gives hotels an opportunity to create different comfort experiences using the same mattress platform.”
The initial Ikona Hospitality lineup includes three mattress models: Solara, Térrava and Borealis. The company also offers pillows and toppers, allowing hotel customers to source multiple sleep products from one manufacturer.
Ikano manufactures most of the major components used in its mattresses, including foam, springs and quilting, and also handles final assembly. The company said this vertically integrated approach gives it greater control over quality and consistency while allowing products to be tailored to hotel specifications.
Ikano operates in 17 markets across Europe, Mexico and the United States. The company produced more than 3.5 million mattresses in 2025 and is also the largest global mattress supplier to Ikea.
As part of its sustainability efforts, Ikano uses its Repoliol technology to process polyurethane foam waste into polyol for use in new foam production. The company has been developing and using the process since 2013.
