HIGH POINT – Texas-based HiEnd Accents, a manufacturer of luxury bedding and home textiles, is changing the way furniture retailers approach bedroom merchandising—and how customers experience it.
The company offers a wide range of products, from crisp linens and duvets to decorative pillows and quilts, all designed to complete the look of a bedroom.
Jonathan He, who took over as president from his mother, explains that more retailers are recognizing the value of selling complete bedroom ensembles, including “top of bed” accessories, rather than focusing solely on furniture.
“For years, stores sold mattresses and bedframes while customers sourced cozy layers elsewhere,” He said. “Now retailers see that offering everything to finish the bed enhances sales and display appeal.”
Research from Furniture Today’s Strategic Insights earlier this year found that 81% of consumers purchased items like pillows, duvets, and sheet sets from furniture retailers, while 71% purchased similar items online. He noted at the fall High Point Market that more furniture companies are viewing top-of-bed products as a key cross-sell opportunity.
“Dressing the bed well not only captures additional sales but also helps move the core bedroom set,” He said.

Expanding Product Lines
Founded 20 years ago by Cynthia Zheng, HiEnd Accents began in Dallas with a focus on high-quality rustic bedding for retailers seeking Western-inspired designs. Today, the company offers multiple lines to meet diverse styles and budgets: Paseo Road for authentic Western, HiEnd Accents for updated classics and contemporary, Indigo Hill for entry-level value, and Saturday Linens for hospitality essentials.
“Over the past decade, we’ve expanded into contemporary and casual bedding styles,” He said. The company’s goal is to be a one-stop solution for retailers, providing quality bedding at multiple price points. “We position ourselves as bridge bedding—not ultra-luxury, but also not mass-market. A duvet cover set may retail for $250–$350, with wholesale prices around half that.”
Global Sourcing for Quality and Value
HiEnd Accents sources materials from countries including China, India, and Guatemala. “China is one of our main suppliers,” He said. The company uses cotton, linen, eucalyptus, and blends for durability and performance, though it avoids bamboo.
Once sourced, in-house designers in Dallas curate patterns and materials for upcoming seasons, ensuring trends complement the core assortment. “We engineer costs to protect retail value and style the bed so partners can showcase a complete look from line sheet to showroom,” He said.
Navigating Tariff Pressures
Despite maintaining a Dallas warehouse and showrooms in High Point, Las Vegas, and Dallas, tariffs on imported materials have pressured margins. “We’ve absorbed most increases to serve our customers, which does thin our margins, but it’s part of doing business,” He said.
Even with these challenges, HiEnd Accents continues to expand its reach with national and regional retailers, supplying brands including Dillards, Ashley, and Nebraska Furniture Mart.
