DANBURY, Conn. — Ethan Allen’s upholstery manufacturing plant in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico, has been awarded the title of “Empresa Socialmente Responsable” (Environmentally and Socially Responsible) for the sixth consecutive year by the Mexican Center for Corporate Philanthropy and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility.
In 2024, Ethan Allen’s Silao team celebrated producing its 1.5 millionth piece of upholstery. Beyond crafting handcrafted upholstery, the Silao facility supplies cut-and-sew fabrics to Ethan Allen’s Maiden, N.C., operations for final assembly.
As part of its commitment to producing 75% of its products in North America, Ethan Allen has invested significantly in its manufacturing facilities, including those in Vermont, North Carolina, Honduras, and Silao, which the company has owned since 2007. The Silao plant also features an on-site health clinic, staffed by doctors and nurses, providing medical care such as vaccines and over-the-counter medications. Additionally, the facility offers transportation for employees, healthy meals, and other benefits to support its workforce.
