CHICAGO — Crate & Kids has launched a limited-edition collaboration with Converse, marking the retailer’s first fashion partnership and Converse’s inaugural entry into kids’ furniture.
Inspired by vintage basketball courts, sport, and skate culture, the collection brings a sense of play and independent spirit to children’s spaces. Design elements nod to Converse’s iconic heritage, including red cords on the All Star Table Lamps that echo the brand’s midsole stripe, and vent-style eyelets incorporated into the Grommet Night Stand.
Dan Brausch, Vice President of Global Growth at Converse, stated that young creators have long influenced the brand, and designing for them in new ways remains central to its mission. He noted that the partnership with Crate & Kids allows Converse to inspire creativity at home, encouraging kids to shape their environments with the same individuality they express through their footwear.
The 80-piece assortment spans furniture—including dressers, desks, beds, and bookcases—as well as textiles, lighting, and decor. Pieces are crafted from natural materials such as undyed cotton canvas, organic textiles, and rich woods.
Sebastian Brauer, Senior Vice President of Product Design at Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids, emphasized that every detail intentionally connects back to the iconic Chuck Taylor. He explained that the collaboration translates Converse’s signature design language into playful, heritage-inspired pieces tailored for children’s spaces.
The Converse for Crate & Kids collection is now available online and through the Crate & Barrel iOS app.
