ACTON, Mass. — Following its closure of all nine stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire in late December 2025, Circle Furniture is set to auction off its physical assets starting March 10.
The retailer, which had been a staple in New England for almost 70 years, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in February. In its filing, Circle Furniture reported assets ranging from $1 million to $10 million, with liabilities of $10 million to $50 million. The company listed $15 million in gross sales for 2025 and $18.8 million for 2024.

The auction will be managed by Paul E. Saperstein Co., a Boston-based firm, using the online auction platform bidspotter.com. All items from the now-closed stores will be sold through separate online auctions for each location.
“We’re proud to offer the community one final chance to acquire quality pieces from a business that has been a trusted family-owned presence for decades,” said Michael Saperstein, president of Paul E. Saperstein Co.
The auctions will take place from March 10 to April 29, with each location hosting its own event. Public inspections will be held on the day before each auction, allowing potential bidders to view items before making bids the following day.
Available items include a wide variety of home furnishings, such as indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting, rugs, art, kitchenware, and home décor. For more details on auction dates, available items, and registration, visit the Paul E. Saperstein Co. website.
