FORT MILL, S.C. — Broad River Retail, a Top 100 retailer, has expedited the launch of its newest Ashley store to take advantage of the busy Black Friday and holiday shopping season. The Fort Mill-based company, which owns and operates Ashley HomeStore locations across the Carolinas and Georgia, opened both an Ashley store and an Ashley Outlet in Easley, S.C. on the weekend of Nov. 22.

Originally slated for a late 2025 or early 2026 opening, the new store began welcoming customers a day earlier than expected, immediately generating business. The store’s first Saturday exceeded sales expectations, demonstrating a promising start for the new location.
CEO Charlie Malouf expressed his appreciation for the team’s efforts, noting, “We’re grateful for how our teams pulled together to make this happen. It’s practically a brand-new group, and they’re already roaring and ready to go. The town has welcomed us with real enthusiasm, and we’re excited to be there. What’s remarkable is that this store wasn’t even part of our plans a year ago. Everything—from site selection to construction—came together within this calendar year.”
The new 41,479-square-foot store is located at 5149 Calhoun Memorial Highway in the Easley Village Shopping Center. It replaces the former Bargain Hunt location. Broad River Retail already operates Ashley stores in nearby Anderson, Greenville, Greenwood, and Spartanburg, as well as an Ashley distribution center in Spartanburg.
Manny Rodrigues, President and Chief Operating Officer, added, “Opening Easley ahead of schedule and just in time for Black Friday reflects the pioneer mindset of our team—taking initiative, solving problems, and moving with speed and purpose. Our first weekend delivered strong momentum, and we’re grateful for the warm welcome from the community.”
A grand opening celebration is planned for 2026.
