NEW YORK — Bernhardt Design has introduced two new swivel seating options: the Deneuve Lounge Chair by French designer Patrick Norguet and the Prelude high-back wood swivel chair by Valencia-based designers Claudia and Harry Washington.
The Deneuve Lounge Chair, first previewed at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, features a molded wood shell in walnut or ash, paired with a stainless steel self-return swivel base offered in polished or powder-coated finishes. Contrasting textiles can be selected for the back, seat, and cushion.
Jerry Helling, President of Bernhardt Design, stated that the Deneuve reflects the brand’s dedication to sophisticated yet approachable design, praising Norguet for merging form and function in a modern take on classic lounge style.

The Prelude high-back swivel is designed as an inviting prelude to daily activities—from work and dining to lounging. The chair features an upholstered seat and back, supported by tapered solid oak legs, and can be customized with any Bernhardt Textiles material, leather, or customer’s own fabric (COM).
Helling added that the new Prelude chair embodies the designers’ vision of creating seating that is both purposeful and welcoming.
Bernhardt Design, founded in 1980 as part of the 130-year-old Bernhardt Furniture Company, has built a globally recognized reputation over the past three decades under Helling’s creative direction.
