As part of the national celebration led by National Manufacturing Day, students from 15 schools were given a unique, behind-the-scenes look at modern furniture production. The tours provided an up-close view of state-of-the-art automation, expert craftsmanship, and advanced manufacturing processes.
“These tours were an eye-opener for our students,” said Molly Fawcett, a 6th-grade teacher from Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District. “They saw how math and science play a part in the assembly line, robotics, and teamwork—giving them a valuable, real-world learning experience.”
The tours align with Ashley’s ongoing efforts to support workforce development and strengthen community ties. By giving students direct access to manufacturing environments and professionals, Ashley aims to inspire future talent and help address the increasing demand for skilled workers in the industry.
