ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — American Furniture Warehouse (AFW) and its founder, Jake Jabs, have supported the community this holiday season through a combined financial and volunteer initiative with Food Bank of the Rockies. Jabs personally contributed $20,000 to the organization, supplementing a recent employee volunteer event at the company’s corporate offices.
During the event, AFW employees assembled over 4,000 mesh produce bags and created more than 100 handwritten cards of encouragement for individuals and families facing food insecurity in Colorado and Wyoming.
Jabs stated that the effort is a practical way to help neighbors, praising Food Bank of the Rockies for its critical work in distributing resources to those most in need. He expressed pride in the company’s support and gratitude for the employees who volunteered.
Jessica Rose, AFW’s Director of Public Relations and Gift Giving, emphasized that giving back is a core company value. She noted that the partnership enables the company to blend financial support with hands-on employee engagement, creating a direct positive impact in the community.
