Meet&CoENGLEWOOD, Colo. — American Furniture Warehouse (AFW), one of the nation’s Top 100 retailers, is focusing its next expansion on the Colorado Springs area.
The upcoming store, located in Englewood, Colo., is expected to open in early 2027 and will cover a total of 235,000 square feet, with 122,000 square feet dedicated to showroom space.

Nolan Morrison, AFW’s real estate and development lead, noted that the permitting process, along with drainage and slope considerations, has slowed progress at times. Nevertheless, construction has advanced steadily.
“This second location provides residents on the eastern side of Colorado Springs easier access, while also offering additional warehouse capacity for local inventory,” Morrison told Furniture Today.
AFW sees the new store as a strategic move to strengthen its presence in the region, and the company continues to evaluate further growth opportunities as this project nears completion.
