NEW YORK – Casper is putting a new spin on the brick-and-mortar mattress shopping experience with the reopening of its redesigned flagship Sleep Shop in New York City’s NoHo neighborhood. The flagship will open on Thursday, Sept. 24, beginning at 10 a.m.

Casper unveils new retail concept at revamped NYC flagship
Located at 627 Broadway next to Casper’s corporate headquarters, the renovated store features a more open layout. The design allows shoppers to see the company’s full mattress assortment when they enter the store.
Eight mattresses are displayed on the main sales floor, while two private trial spaces are available for Casper’s Snow Max and Dream Max models. The store also features a new education wall that explains the technology, construction and features behind the company’s mattresses.
The reopening is part of Casper’s continued expansion into physical retail. The company, which was founded in New York City, first opened its NoHo Sleep Shop in 2018.
“Casper began by changing the way people buy mattresses online. Now, we’re applying that same spirit of innovation to the physical shopping experience,” said Douglas Atchison, director of retail at Casper. “Our reimagined NoHo flagship store gives customers the space, information and personalized guidance they need to confidently find the right mattress.”
Casper Sleep Specialists are available in the store to help shoppers explore the mattress assortment, explain product features during trials and provide recommendations based on individual sleep needs.
The redesigned store retains several architectural features of the historic NoHo building, including its 16-foot ceilings, original cast-iron storefront, columns and terracotta ceiling. A custom mural features New York City imagery as well as hidden design elements associated with the Casper brand.
Casper currently operates more than 40 Sleep Shops, including locations on Lexington Avenue and in Williamsburg in New York. The company plans to reopen its City Point location in downtown Brooklyn in October using a similar retail concept.
