Ikano already has experience in the hospitality business in Europe, where Ikona supplies mattresses to Marriott and moxy properties. The new program is designed to build on that business with customizable mattresses and sleep products for hotel operators.
One of the program’s key features is a removable topper system designed to give hotel operators more flexibility in both mattress comfort and product life cycle. The zip-on, zip-off topper can create either a 12-inch or 14-inch mattress using the same underlying platform.
The system also allows hotels to replace the topper without replacing the entire mattress or use different toppers to offer firmer or softer sleep surfaces.
“Hotels are not buying a mattress simply to put in a room. They are investing in an important part of the guest experience and in a product that has to perform night after night,” said Silvia Galasso, chief sales and marketing officer for Ikano Industry.
“With Ikona Hospitality, we can start with exactly what a hotel needs, whether that means matching an existing specification, creating a completely customized solution or incorporating the hotel’s own branding into the mattress,” she said.
Hotels can customize mattress construction, comfort, dimensions, profile, fabrics and performance features. Options include cooling, antimicrobial and water-resistant materials, as well as hotel-branded mattress covers.
The initial Ikona Hospitality mattress lineup includes Solara, Térrava and Borealis. The company also offers pillows and toppers, giving hotel customers the ability to source a broader sleep program from one manufacturer.
Ikano manufactures most of the major components used in its mattresses, including foam, springs and quilting, as well as handling final assembly. The company said the vertical manufacturing model provides greater control over quality and consistency while allowing it to tailor products to hotel specifications.
That manufacturing footprint could also be a selling point for larger hospitality operators. Ikano operates in 17 markets across Europe, Mexico and the United States and produced more than 3.5 million mattresses in 2025. The company is also the largest global mattress supplier to Ikea.
Ikano is incorporating its Repoliol technology into its broader sustainability efforts. The process, which the company has been developing and using since 2013, converts polyurethane foam waste back into polyol that can be used in new foam production.
