Got a new meeting room but not sure what size conference table for room actually fits without making it feel cramped or empty—any real-world suggestions?
The ideal size of a conference table depends on the room’s dimensions and the number of seats, and you should generally allow at least 36–48 inches of clearance around the table for seating and walking space.
As a practical guide: a table for 6 people is about 1.8m (72 inches), for 8 people about 2.4m (96 inches), and for 10–12 people about 3.0–3.6m (120–144 inches).
For smaller rooms, it is recommended to choose expandable or modular conference tables to avoid crowding and improve traffic flow efficiency.
