Meet&CoTORONTO — Leon’s Furniture Limited announced that all eight directors nominated in the company’s March 6 Management Information Circular have been successfully elected.
The vote took place during the company’s annual general meeting of common shareholders in Toronto last week. Each nominee secured at least 93% of the votes cast.
The newly elected board members are: Terrence T. Leon, Edward F. Leon, Lewis M. Leon, Joseph M. Leon, Mary Ann Leon, Frank Gagliano, the Honorable Lisa Raitt P.C., and Mitch Frazer.
Detailed results from the meeting, covering all items voted on, will be submitted to Canadian securities regulators.
Headquartered in Toronto, Leon’s Furniture operates multiple retail brands, including Leon’s, The Brick, Brick Outlet, and The Brick Mattress Store.
Additionally, the company manages The Brick’s Midnorthern Appliance and Leon’s Appliance Canada banners. Across Canada, Leon’s maintains a network of 299 stores.
