CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — Ikea U.S., one of the top 100 retailers in the nation, is set to open its newest location, Ikea Rockwall, Texas, on May 13. This marks the company’s ninth store in Texas and its fourth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
“This opening is a major milestone, not just because it’s our ninth Texas store, but because it’s our first new construction project since 2019,” said Rob Olson, interim CEO of Ikea U.S. “It reflects our confidence in the local market and our mission to make everyday life better at home with stylish, affordable solutions.”
Spanning 108,875 square feet on a single level along Interstate 30, Ikea Rockwall offers over 6,000 products and numerous fully furnished room displays. More than 3,800 items are available for immediate purchase.
Shoppers can also receive one-on-one design advice in the central planning area for kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, and small living spaces. The store will feature a Swedish Bistro, serving classics like meatballs, plant-based alternatives, hot dogs, and veggie dogs.

Sustainability is a key focus at the new store. Ikea Rockwall is LEED-certified and integrates solar panels, electric vehicle charging stations, on-site recycling, and drought-resistant landscaping.
Additionally, the store’s As-Is section provides gently used and discontinued items at discounted prices, supporting both affordability and environmental responsibility.
“We aim to be a reliable partner for families in this community,” said Ben Sandoval, Ikea U.S. market manager. “Ikea Rockwall reflects our dedication to providing well-designed, cost-effective solutions that enhance daily life at home.”
This opening is part of Ikea’s $2.2 billion investment across the U.S.—the largest in nearly four decades—designed to make the brand more accessible, affordable, and convenient.
Later this summer, the company plans to open its tenth Texas store in Webster. Additionally, five Plan and Order Points with Pick-up have recently launched inside select Best Buy locations in Texas, expanding Ikea’s reach even further.
