CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — IKEA U.S. will open a small-format store in Phoenix on April 8, expanding the Top 100 retailer’s presence in Arizona. The new location joins existing IKEA stores in Tempe and Scottsdale.
Rob Olson, Interim CEO of IKEA U.S., stated that the opening represents an exciting next step in making IKEA shopping easier and more accessible. He explained that the company has been expanding with new store formats and digital services to meet customers where they are—whether through smaller, flexible store designs or enhanced online tools. Olson added that this store brings well-designed, affordable home furnishings closer to more communities while improving the overall customer experience.
Located at Village Square II shopping center on East Cactus Road, the 75,000-square-foot store features over 4,000 products on display, with a curated selection of more than 3,000 items available for immediate takeaway. Customers will also have access to a central planning area for personalized design consultations, an As-Is Department offering sustainable furnishing options, and a Swedish food experience serving IKEA favorites like meatballs, plant balls, and hot dogs.
Tony Ramos, Store Manager, said the store was designed to feel like a warm, accessible part of the neighborhood, offering inspiration that reflects how locals truly live. He emphasized that the goal is for everyone to feel supported in creating a better home with simple IKEA solutions.
