HOUSTON — Star Furniture, part of Berkshire Hathaway’s top-tier furniture group, welcomed the Houston chapter of the Interior Design Society (IDS) on March 26. The event marked the beginning of a full-day trip to the Original Round Top Antiques Fair, located just under two hours from Houston.
Over 40 local designers, guided by 2026 IDS Houston President Juliana Ewer, gathered at Star Furniture’s Katy, Texas, showroom for breakfast and networking. Michael Galloway, Star’s Vice President of Marketing, shared insights into the retailer’s designer trade program, highlighting its flexible pricing and award-winning delivery services.
“We invited Charles Johnson from Servant Logistics to explain our comprehensive support for designers, including receiving, storage, and nationwide shipping,” Galloway said.
He also highlighted Star Furniture’s ongoing collaboration with the Houston Furniture Bank, a local charity the company has supported since the early 1990s. The organization helps families transitioning from homelessness by providing essential home furnishings.
