NEW YORK — Kafene, a point-of-sale leasing platform, has partnered with buying group Nationwide Marketing Group (NMG) to provide independent retailers with more flexible lease-to-own (LTO) options for nonprime customers.
The partnership enables NMG members to integrate Kafene’s LTO platform into their sales process, offering shoppers alternative pathways to owning premium appliances, electronics, furniture, and home products.
Darryl Cole, Vice President of Sales at Kafene, stated that the partnership is a natural fit, combining NMG’s extensive network of independent retailers with Kafene’s ability to help those merchants serve more customers. He emphasized that together, they can place the right products in more hands and support NMG member growth.
Josh McSpadden, Head of Business Development at Kafene, added that NMG is a key industry partner, and the company is excited to bring its innovative leasing approach to the group’s merchants.
The collaboration allows independent retailers to capture sales they might otherwise lose, while customers gain access to needed products. Both companies noted that the timing reflects a broader consumer shift toward flexible, transparent alternatives as traditional credit becomes less accessible.
Unlike conventional LTO companies with one-size-fits-all approval models, Kafene offers tiered, performance-based pricing that approves more customers at terms calibrated to individual financial profiles.
