HIGH POINT — Davis Furniture is expanding its High Point campus by acquiring the former Woodmark Furniture building and launching a new facility to support its growing operations.
The company has purchased the 124,000-square-foot property at 1920 Jarrell St., covering 14.6 acres near U.S. 29 and Surrett Drive. Renovations will begin later this year, and the building will serve as a combined manufacturing and warehouse space, enhancing capacity and operational flexibility.

Woodmark Furniture, once part of Howard Miller, closed its operations recently due to rising costs driven by tariffs. Davis Furniture’s new acquisition and the construction of a second facility will increase its campus footprint from nine to 11 buildings, totaling more than 500,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space in South High Point.
Founded in 1944, the fourth-generation, family-owned business employs nearly 350 people and has showrooms in New York, Chicago, and Washington. Despite its international reach, Davis Furniture maintains its manufacturing base in High Point.
“This expansion is a strategic investment in our people, processes, and community,” said Danny Davis, President. “While our design perspective is global, we are deeply committed to local manufacturing.”
The newly acquired Jarrell Street property will enhance Davis’ vertically integrated manufacturing model, with each building supporting different production stages. The company’s approach to expansion will improve operational efficiency while maintaining its high-quality standards.
In addition, Davis has broken ground on a new, multi-functional facility at 500 W. Market Center Drive, right behind its corporate headquarters. This new space will house advanced manufacturing, expanded sales offices, and a showroom that will elevate the client experience, providing an integrated, transparent view of the manufacturing process.
“We designed this space to be transparent and collaborative, reflecting how we operate,” said Brian Davis, overseeing the construction of both the Jarrell Street facility and the new building. “This expansion ensures our clients can fully engage with the Davis process in one unified environment.”
