My kitchen island is standard height. What stool size works best?
For a 36-inch counter (standard kitchen island height), choose counter-height stools with a seat height of 24 to 26 inches.

The Golden Rule: Leave 10-12 inches between the stool seat and the underside of your counter. This gives comfortable leg room.
