Anyone have tips on how to clean a microfiber sofa without ruining it? Mine’s starting to look a bit worn out.
Step 1: Check the cleaning code on the manufacturer's label.
Common cleaning codes include W (water washable), S (dry clean only), WS (water washable or dry cleanable), and X (vacuum only). For microfiber sofas, the common cleaning code is usually S or WS.
Step 2: Spray and blot.
Pour rubbing alcohol (for "S" code) or mild soapy water (for "W" and "WS" codes) into a spray bottle and spray it onto the stain on the sofa. Then gently press the damp area with a clean cloth to remove dirt and stains from the fabric. Repeat this step until the stain is completely removed and no residue remains on the fabric.
Step 3: Restore fluffiness.
After cleaning microfiber fabric, it may feel a little stiff after drying. Gently rub the fibers with a soft brush to fluff up the fabric fibers.
