RONSE, Belgium — At the recent Heimtextil international home textiles expo, specialty chemicals developer Devan introduced a suite of new active ingredients and sustainable materials designed to enhance sleep quality and personal well-being through advanced textiles.
A central innovation showcased was Devan Comfort, a patented polymer technology that actively cools and manages moisture to maintain a balanced sleep climate. The company also presented Devan Quickdry – Devatec Wik Bio, a fully biodegradable (100% bio-based) moisture management solution derived from renewable plant materials.
The Devan Revital line expanded with two new micro-encapsulated active ingredients: Recovera, aimed at soothing and supporting physical recovery, and Mood Boost, engineered to promote relaxation and better sleep through gentle, mood-enhancing effects released via skin contact or fragrance.
For foam applications, Devan launched Devan Cool TOC HC 404, a patented cooling technology that dissipates body heat for instant and lasting thermal balance. Rounding out the introductions was Devan Bioflam, a halogen-free, 95% biobased flame retardant that preserves fabric feel while providing effective protection.
Dr. Roberto Teixeira, Chief Technology Officer at Devan, stated that the company’s goal is to merge science with comfort in ways that tangibly improve daily life, helping people sleep better and feel better through fabrics that work intelligently.
Devan, headquartered in Belgium, maintains offices in the UK, Portugal, and the United States.
