Chief Executive Officer Shawn Nelson indicated that the latest report demonstrates a more mature approach to sustainability, with increased accountability and measurable impact. He noted that the year included several major developments, including collaboration with the company’s U.S. Sac manufacturing partner on plans to transition toward 100% landfill diversion and zero-emissions production, as well as the expansion of Lovesac’s circular operations platform aimed at redefining responsibility within the home furnishings industry.
Lovesac’s ESG strategy is structured around three pillars — Love, Earth and Purpose — which guide its long-term environmental, social and mission-driven objectives. The report tracks progress against those goals.
Under the Love pillar, the company emphasized workforce-focused initiatives, including talent acquisition, organizational development, employee training, culture and engagement, along with internal processes designed to support its commitments.
Environmental achievements within the Earth category included eliminating Scope 2 emissions from all U.S. showrooms for the second consecutive year through energy-reduction efforts. Lovesac also worked with its U.S. manufacturing partner to develop its first facility designed to operate with zero landfill waste and net-zero emissions, while establishing baseline recycling rates across operations.
In support of its circularity goals, the company piloted a service platform allowing customers to return products for resale. Lovesac also advanced its long-standing partnership with Repreve, reporting that a total of 322 million plastic bottles had been repurposed by the end of fiscal 2025, contributing toward its broader goal of repurposing 1 billion bottles.
Purpose-driven initiatives included maintaining full ethical auditing compliance among primary manufacturing vendors and pursuing complete participation in sustainable supply-chain programs across its manufacturing partners. Employees logged more than 550 volunteer hours during the company’s first volunteer month, while Lovesac donated $286,000 in product and awarded $15,000 in charitable grants.
