Through this partnership, selected Tributaire café and occasional tables will now feature solid-wood tops produced by Purposeful Design, paired with KI’s contract-grade table bases. The two organisations said the initiative combines thoughtful design, durable manufacturing, and a shared commitment to social responsibility.
According to KI, the addition of solid wood enhances the warmth and character of the Tributaire line while meeting the durability standards required for commercial interiors. The tabletops are crafted by Purposeful Design, a social enterprise specialising in solid wood furniture and custom wood components.
Melissa Jorgenson, senior product marketing manager at KI, said the collaboration reflects the company’s belief that furniture can deliver both design value and positive social impact. She noted that integrating handcrafted wood surfaces into Tributaire not only elevates the aesthetic but also supports meaningful workforce development.
