TORONTO — Sunpan, a leading global furniture brand, has introduced its Customer’s Own Material (COM) program, expanding its customization offerings for the hospitality and commercial sectors.
The new program allows clients to customize Sunpan’s contract-grade furniture frames with their fabric choices, alongside a curated selection of metal and wood finishes. Many of the frames available have already been tested in high-traffic environments for durability.

“We’re excited to launch the COM Program, marking an important milestone for our contract business,” said Sundeep Bagga, Sunpan’s president and CEO. “With increasing demand for tailored solutions, now was the perfect time to roll it out. Our longstanding manufacturing and logistics partners will ensure that our customers continue to receive the high-quality performance and reliability they expect from us.”
The program includes a variety of contract-grade products such as dining chairs, lounge chairs, barstools, and banquettes. Order minimums apply, and clients can also choose from Sunpan’s pre-existing metal and wood finishes to complement their selected fabrics.
To streamline project timelines, Sunpan has introduced a range of frames produced and customized exclusively in the United States for the COM program.
Additional features include an online visualizer tool that lets customers preview fabric and finish combinations on eligible frames, project management support, and extended warranties on selected items. All products in the program meet rigorous commercial durability and safety standards.
Having served the hospitality and contract markets for nearly two decades, Sunpan designed the COM program to strengthen its position in these industries by offering more flexibility and design options.
Hospitality professionals can explore the new program through Sunpan’s sales representatives or on the company’s website.
