SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Furniture Mart USA, a Top 100 retailer, has officially rebranded two of its recent Minnesota acquisitions under the Furniture Mart name. Earlier this year, the Sioux Falls, S.D.-based company acquired Becker Furniture in the Twin Cities and Furniture Superstore in Rochester. Both locations have now transitioned to the Furniture Mart identity, marking a new phase in their long-standing histories.
With the rebrand, the stores are offering expanded inventory and an enhanced lineup of well-known brands including La-Z-Boy, Flexsteel, Ashley, Tempur-Pedic, and Beautyrest.
“While the names are changing, the heart of what we do and the pride we take in doing it remain the same,” said Cory Price, CEO of family-owned Furniture Mart USA. “Becker and Furniture Superstore have been part of Minnesota communities for years, helping families furnish their homes. Now, united as Furniture Mart, we’re building on that legacy with fresh opportunities for growth, innovation, and service.”
Founded in 1977 by St. Paul native Bill Hinks, Furniture Mart USA began with a single store in Sioux Falls and has since grown to more than 60 locations across the Upper Midwest. The company’s mission remains: “Transforming houses into homes, customers into friends, and employees into family.” Today, three generations of the Hinks family are actively involved in the business.
“This transition allows us to offer customers more: more selection, more styles, and more ways to make their homes uniquely theirs,” said Hinks, chairman of the company. “It also brings all of us under one brand that shares the same values, customer-first approach, and commitment to quality.”
Furniture Mart USA’s Minnesota footprint now includes stores in Albertville, Austin, Baxter, Becker, Blaine, Burnsville, Duluth, Eagan, Elk River, Fridley, Mankato, Maple Grove, Maplewood, Marshall, Medford, Minnetonka, North Branch, Redwood Falls, Rochester, Shakopee, St. Cloud and Woodbury, along with 36 additional locations across Iowa, Illinois, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
