The Look Co. has recently acquired OAI + Ranier, significantly enhancing its capabilities in visual branding and manufacturing.
This acquisition includes two manufacturing facilities in Tampa, Florida, and Seattle, Washington, adding 52,000 square feet and 137,000 square feet of space to its existing global network of production sites across Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
With this acquisition, the company can now enter emerging markets like aerospace and industrial sectors, while expanding its reach within the sports leagues, retail chains, and other industries.
The acquisition also includes Ranier Inds.’s tent and shelter division, which broadens the company’s product offerings in custom manufacturing and display signage.
Jacob Burke, CEO of The Look Co., said, “We’ve spent 27 years building our business from the ground up, with printing and production facilities across five countries.
Now, with the acquisition of OAI + Ranier, we’re accelerating the next stage of growth by partnering with a like-minded company that not only has an impressive product portfolio but also offers us the opportunity to diversify how we serve our shared customers.”
OAI, founded in 1989, specializes in high-resolution displays, banners, billboards, and installation services, while Ranier, established in 1896, began as a tent supplier during the Gold Rush and expanded to provide temporary structures for sports events.
In 2022, Ranier acquired OAI, forming OAI + Ranier, blending visual branding capabilities with manufacturing expertise.
This acquisition allows The Look Co. to support its growing network in the U.S. sports and retail markets, including the upcoming FIFA World Cup, set to take place across 16 cities in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Chris Inverso, CEO of OAI + Ranier, and 200 employees will remain with the company.
LFM Capital, a private equity firm focused on investing in small to medium-sized manufacturing and industrial service businesses, was previously an investor in OAI + Ranier and retained a minority stake in the deal.
Current clients of The Look Co. include FIFA, NHL, MLB, Walmart, the Olympic Committee, Formula 1, Jaguar, Land Rover, Canada Games, Mattress Firm, and Burlington.
With this acquisition, the client list now includes the Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Sports Commission, Jacksonville Jaguars, Florida International University, and Greater Orlando Sports Commission, among other sports organizations.
This acquisition marks an important step in The Look Co.’s growth in the visual branding and manufacturing sectors, further enhancing its competitiveness across various industries.
